If Barcelona is famous for it’s Ramblas, beaches and tapas it is also known for its brilliant nightlife and is one of Europe’s top destinations for Party peeps and clubbers!
I won’t be talking about Shôko , Opium or Pasha, … or other tourist traps at ‘Passeig Maritim’ (unless you want to join a parade of drunk Swedish girls in high heels singing the lyrics of the latest Avicii song and other pseudo clubbers wearing the latest ‘F*** me, I am famous’ T-shirt, then that might just be the place for you)…
I will show you around the best clubs for Electronic Music Lovers for those who actually go to clubs to see a DJ and listen to music!
So here is my selection of ‘The best clubs in Barcelona’

La Macarena is one of the most prestigious clubs in Barcelona. Located next to Las Ramblas, in the heart of the city. Characterized by its powerful sound, careful interior design, quality of invited artists and its warm & cosmopolitan ambiance.

Tucked away further up Avenida Diagonal from the main stretch of clubs and bars, BeCool remains largely the preserve of in-the-know locals. Weekends are the highlights at this medium-size venue, with electronic music predominating.
The revolving dancefloor adds an element of comedy to proceedings, and the pop, rock and indie nights in the upstairs bar attract a loyal following of cool kids with even cooler haircuts. A good solid choice for the weekend.
A former theater in the center of town, City Hall has preserved its original structure, with the DJs on the stage overlooking a dance floor in what was the stalls. Excellent lighting illuminates the revelers while a chandelier and disco balls swing overhead.
Doors lead out onto a stylish terrace complete with bar, seats, and tables – perfect for smokers and those who want to kick back and enjoy the balmy evenings.
Musically it isn’t quite what it once was, but you can still find good local DJs playing a selection of electronic music. Check out Club4 on Thursdays.
