Sony MDR-7506 professional headphones  are used in professional studios all over the world and create great enthusiasm to every one who tried them. People who tried the Sony MDR-7506 claim that once you get used to the 7506, its hard to go back to using any other headphones that cost less than twice their price. They are at least as good, and probably better, than anything else for the price.

Check out the features, pros and cons and price of what is 1 of the best best studio headphones under 300$ in my SONY MDR 7506 Headphones review

Features

The Sony MDR-7506  reproduces a well balances and accurate sound . They possess an accurate playback and an extremely even response over the whole spectrum. That means that what you are hearing is pretty close to the original intent when the music was mixed. The headphone has an ultra-low impedance, 24 ohms.

Some say bass response is low and might sound flat but I think the bass is well reproduced and not too overwhelming . Nice, deep lows, crispy but detailed highs and descent mids.

Their design is basic but they feel comfortable and the pads are soft although some prefer to add other, more softer pads. If the pads need to be changed, you can easily find sony mdr 7506 replacement pads

The ear cups rotate vertically a full 180 degrees on their hinges with ease. The ear cups can also be folded upwards against the inside of the headband for portability.

The Sony MDR-7506 adjusts to every head size and they also come with case for travel. They are ideal for every day use, whether it is audio visual production , recording, mastering or listening.

Conclusion

Audiophile sites and reviews have had a hard time coming to grips with these headphones. Being that they’re a consumer brand product available at any common music store at a fraction of the price of most other high-end models, the “elite” image and price tag that goes along with it just aren’t a part of the 7506’s game.

Sony MDR 7506 vs Beats?

Some like to compare them to DRE’s beats but comparing DRE’s beats to the Sony MDR-7506 is like comparing a child’s toy piano to a Steinway. Ok, they might look less stylish and you might look like an audio geek wearing them in public but audiophiles will recognize a pro…so that’s way more cool .They were acclaimed by Artists like Jamie XX or Nicolas Jaar, who use them on a daily basis,so that’s enough said…

The only default would be the bass rendering that some evaluate as being too flat, but don’t forget the price you are paying for those babies. Even though you might think the bass rendering isn’t the best of the best, Sony MDR 7506 professional headphones are about the best you can get in that price range!
